Kristen Whittle named a Forty Under 40 honoree

June 19, 2017

The Providence Business News recently named Kristen M. Whittle as one of its 40 Under Forty winners for 2017.

The 40 Under Forty honorees were chosen based on career success and community involvement. All are legal and business professionals under the age of 40 who have made a commitment to making a difference on a local, national or international scale.

Kristen is an experienced civil litigator who focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, employment law, and products liability litigation. She actively practices in the courts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. In addition to her litigation work, Kristen regularly advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship—from hiring through separation—and she frequently reviews and revises personnel policies and handbooks.

Kristen serves on the Advisory Committee for the Roger Williams University School of Law's Pro Bono Collaborative, where she coordinates the firm’s pro bono activities in working with Bradley Hospital's Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, advising parents of disabled children turning 18 on legal matters. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Counseling Center of Rhode Island.

In the legal community, Kristen serves on the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Women's Bar Association. She has been named a Rhode Island Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2013.

Kristen and her fellow 2017 40 Under Forty class members will be honored on July 20 at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island.
